Support Coordinator & APA Titled Physiotherapist
Shea originally graduated as a Physiotherapist in 2013 and developed a passion for working with people with amputation shortly thereafter. He has since gone on to complete his Postgraduate in Rehabilitation in 2021. Shea is an APA Titled Gerontological Physiotherapist and has been accepted as a Member of the Australian College of Physiotherapy in 2022.
Shea's skills, experience, training and passion are an ideal fit for Support Coordination, of which he became a Support Coordinator in 2023.
He is an experienced educator and has taught about supporting people with amputation to tertiary students at Bond University, The University of Queensland, and Griffith University.
Shea is currently completing research investigating outcomes in new prosthetic users. He has presented his research locally, nationally, as well as internationally.
Outside of work Shea enjoys an active lifestyle. He is a keen sportsman and loves being in and around water- at the pool or ocean. His other interests include coffee, supporting the Eagles’ AFL team, and spending time with his friends and family, including his two cats, Raisin & Winston.
