Senior Physiotherapist
Janet graduated with a First Class Honours Degree in Physiotherapy in 2010. Shortly after graduating she emigrated from Ireland to Australia and she now calls Australia home.
Janet has extensive experience in the area of amputee management, having worked with people after amputation across a variety of settings including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, and the community for over nine years. She is also an educator both clinically and in tertiary education within this field.
Janet is passionate about helping people after amputation transition from hospital back to life and being able to do the things that are important to them again. Having seen how difficult this was for her brother after he had a lower limb amputation at a young age, she strives to improve the experience of people living with limb loss. This has also led her to participate in research studies in this field.
In her free time Janet loves being outdoors in nature and enjoys hiking, snorkelling and scuba diving. She enjoys travelling the world and always looks forward to visiting a new country. She is a passionate animal lover and loves spending time with her dog Bonnie and new puppy Bosco, who she dreams one day will become accredited therapy dogs.
Janet covers the Gold Coast and Logan regions, and works Mondays & Tuesdays.
